The activity of our membership is the driving force behind the Association. Their responsible attitude concerning the information technology sector, and motivating and self-developing activities have greatly contributed to the fact that Hungary is catching up in terms of information technology and a knowledge-based society is being created. In the last few years IVSZ has not only gained respect in Hungary but also in the sectoral centre of the European Union where it laid the foundation for a good position for the years after the accession.
The objective of IVSZ is to become such an association and the Presidium to work in such a way in which members feel the Association exists for them, works for them and it is worthwhile being a member of IVSZ.
To increase the weight of the Association, further improve its effectiveness and make its work more dynamic, major guidelines are defined along which IVSZ as the organization representing the interests of information technology companies can help develop a strong IT industry in Hungary. These guidelines are:
- Our task is to ensure that the ICT industry is among the winners of the integration;
- To develop the "Infocommunication" Association, integrate telecommunications companies into the Association;
- To make IVSZ a powerful lobby force than cannot be evaded, taking care of and developing cooperation with the government, involving IVSZ in important decision making and preparing bodies;
- IVSZ should become the Hungarian expert base for public administration and the EU;
- To strengthen its function of "professional club", improve communication among members;
- To support efficient, active, productive and "interesting" work in the sections (with infrastructure, in case of the intention to invite using the connections of KLM, providing information, reports by the Presidium etc.);
